FUNERALS AND MEMORIAL SERVICES
The death of a loved one is a time both for sorrow and for thanksgiving. A Christian funeral commends the departed into the loving care of God, provides a structure for giving thanks for the person’s life and gifts, for hearing again the Christian conviction of God's love for us in this life and the next, and for saying our last goodbyes. St Michael & All Angels Church offers a spiritually intimate space for services.
The parish hall is available for refreshments after the service if required.

THE MEMORIAL GARDEN
The Memorial Garden at St Michael & All Angels witnesses to the Christian belief in the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The ashes of those who have died in the Faith may be interred in this peaceful and hallowed place, where relatives and friends may come to sit quietly from time to time.
A brief service of interment is held after a cremation, when the family feel they are ready for this next step. This can be in the weeks following cremation or at a suitable point in the future e.g. anniversary or birthday.
A memorial book records the names of those whose ashes have been interred here.
Interments can be arranged by contacting the Rector:
